KB Summary by Now Assist

Description

An instance upgrade will be required for all Mobile Branding (renamed Mobile Publishing in Paris) customers not on Paris, as well as any customers that participated in the white label pilot program in 2019.

Apple is deprecating their legacy binary protocol which will affect SN mobile customers who use custom push notifications (mobile branding customers). Custom push notifications for customers w/ mobile branding will stop working as of Nov 2020. This will only affect customers in New York/Orlando who have mobile branding and have implemented mobile push notifications. However, we are already working on a solution:

  • New York customers w/ mobile branding can prevent the push issue by upgrading to New York Patch 10 (Available 08-13)
  • Orlando customers w/ mobile branding can prevent the push issue by upgrading to Orlando Patch 5 (Available 07-02)
  • Paris customers will support HTTP/2 and no action is required.

Summary

  • Apple Legacy Push deprecation in Nov 2020

    • Orlando: Orlando Patch 5
      Available: 2020-07-02

    • New York: New York Patch 10 (NP10)
      Available: 2020-08-13
