Description

It has been observed that the screenshots captured by ATF test results show blank spaces or shows content in loading state (blank area) though the client test runner shows the data loaded completely. For example, content under slush buckets

Steps to Reproduce

On instance, 

1. Navigate to Automated Test Framework -> Tests

2. Click "New"

3. Create first test step as follows:

  • Click "Add Test Step" under "Test Steps" tab related list. 
  • Select Form -> "Open an Existing Record"
  • Select Table: "Indicator [pa_indicators]"; Record: "Indicator: Average age of last update of open incidents"
  • Click "Submit"

4. Create second test step as follows:

  • Click "Add Test Step" under "Test Steps" tab related list. 
  • Select Form -> "Click a UI Action"
  • Select Table: "Indicator [pa_indicators]"; UI Action: "Manage Breakdowns"
  • Click "Submit"

5. Click "Run Test" and observe the second screenshot looks like below:

6. Now add a third test step as follows to the ATF created from Step2:

  • Click "Add Test Step" under "Test Steps" tab related list. 
  • Select Custom UI -> "Set Component Values"
  • Set Component values as 'Search <input>: Search Available Breakdowns" : "active"
  • Click "Submit"

7. Click "Run Test" and observe the third screenshot looks like below:

Release or Environment

All release versions

Cause

The content hasn't loaded before the screenshots are captured. In this case, it is observed that the values of slush bucket are loaded after the page load.

Additional Information

This is an expected behavior and unfortunately, there is no OOTB functionality to set timer before a screenshot can be captured

This requirement can be added to an Idea Portal or vote for one (if it is already submitted) by customers so that our Dev teams will review and consider for future releases based upon the feasibility and priority.
