Description

A reference value can show outside the input when a long display value is used

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a catalog item
  2. Create a multi-row variable set with the reference variable pointing to sc_cat_item
  3. Create a catalog item with the name of max length possible (say: Table Index and properly indexed tables can dramatically improve the performance of your application)
  4. Try this item in the portal
  5. Add a row and select a value for reference as item created in step#3

Expected behavior: It should show an ellipse (...) after max characters are wrapped

Actual behavior: It goes out of the window to show in a single line and doesn't show an ellipse (Refer attached screenshot)

Workaround

This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In or Intended Fix Version fields to determine whether any versions have a planned or permanent fix.

If you are not able to upgrade yet, perhaps the following workaround can help you:

Add the following CSS to the Portal or Theme:

.field-has-reference .reference {
   max-width: 0;
}
