Description

After an upgrade to Orlando patches from NP7 or later, form with HTML fields are not loading properly.

When adding HTML Editor (TinyMCE) onto a form, the console exhibits the following error:

This caused an issue for forms where List elements are not working properly after adding the HTML Editor fields.

Symptoms

  • Emergency Outreach - Select targeted audience - User, Group, Departments do not work.
  • Push Notifications - Adding an HTML field (Message HTML) also causes the User field to fail
  • Knowledge Article: Unable to create new KB articles
  • UI action or right-click context menu not working 

Steps to Reproduce

1. Start with `New York Patch 7 or greater`
2. Upgrade to `Orlando`
3. Go to `Knowledge` and edit an article
4. Notice the HTML editor does not show up here or anywhere else there should be an HTML Editor


Expected result: List shows for selection
Actual result: List field does not work

Workaround

The workaround is available but it can only be applied by maint user. if you are experiencing this issue after an upgrade to Orlando, please raise a Case for ServiceNow technical support team and work with them to apply the workaround.
