Release or Environment

  • Orlando

Cause

The message under mid server issues tab is complaining about the implementation not being part of the Windows FIPs validation cryptographic algorithms. Looking at when this can occur the general consensus is that it will occur when the MID Server host has its local security settings to restrict to only use algorithms that are FIPs compliant.

Resolution

The fix would be to disable security policy on the host by going to:

  1. Go to Administrative Tools
  2. Local Security Policy
  3. Local Policies
  4. Security Options
  5. System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing
  6. Switch the flag to disabled
