Description

Customers often ask how can they increase the number of feeds or posts displayed within a Community Forum.

Currently the default number of feeds or posts displayed are 10, and to display more the user needs to click on the 'Show More' button at the bottom of the list.

So how can the default number of feeds be changed?

Resolution

To change the default number of feeds or posts displayed within a Community Form, follow the steps below:

1) Navigate to Service Portal ==> Widgets.

2) Search and open the "Community Content Feed" widget

https://instancename.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=sp_widget.do?sys_id=3dff6e57531032007a97e192d5dc3425

3) Export this Widget as XML to backup the widget.

4) Scroll to the bottom and you should see "Option Schema", where you will see a JSON string like below:
==================
[{"name":"panel_type","default_value":"default","section":"other","label":"Panel Type","type":"string"},{"name":"feed_count","default_value":"10","section":"other","label":"Feeds Count","type":"string"},{"name":"forum_level","default_value":"3","section":"other","label":"Forum Depth Level","type":"string"}]
==================

5) In the above string replace the value 10 with any number you require, the value is located next to "feed_count","default_value".

6) Now refresh you list and if the selected forum has number of feeds/post it will be displayed.
