Description

A test that navigates to a page with a form control whose name="action" causes the next step to error out with the following message: "formList[i].action.indexOf is not a function"

Some platform pages, like the various properties pages (system_properties_ui.do), have such controls.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a an ATF Test.
  2. Create a 'Navigate to module' step that navigates to 'Automated Test Framework -> Properties'.
  3. Create an 'Open a new form' step on any table.
  4. Run the Test.

    > Expected behavior: The 'Open a new form' step should not error out.

    > Actual behavior: The 'Open a new form' step errors out.

Workaround

This problem has been fixed. If you are able to upgrade, review the Fixed In or Intended Fix Version fields to determine whether any versions have a planned or permanent fix.

If you have control over the HTML on the page, you can workaround this issue by changing the name of the form control to be anything other than "action". But be aware that there may be code (on the server or the client or both) that relies on that name being "action", so that code may also need to be updated.
