Description

After upgrading to New York, whenever the job 'Refresh MultiSSO IDP Metadata' runs (by default, every 30 minutes) a notification email is sent with the subject 'New certificate(s) added for the IDP(s)'.

The expected behavior is that whenever an insert/update on the sys_certificate table occurs, the event "saml.autoconfig.newcertificate" gets triggered. This event fires the notification "SAMLAutoConfigNewCertificateNotification" and sends an email with the subject 'New certificate(s) added for the IDP(s)'.

After upgrading to New York, the "Refresh MultiSSO IDP Metadata" scheduled job erroneously fires the "saml.autoconfig.newcertificate" event.

NOTE: The "Refresh MultiSSO IDP Metadata" scheduled job was introduced in Kingston. It is used to fetch the IdP metadata from the IdP metadata URL set on the IdP record and update its respective certificates automatically.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upgrade instance to New York or provision a New York instance.
  2. Set up Single Sign-on.

Once the job 'Refresh MultiSSO IDP Metadata' runs, the email is created with the subject 'New certificate(s) added for the IDP(s)'

Workaround

Disable the notification 'SAMLAutoConfigNewCertificateNotification' as a workaround.
