Issue

This article will help you to check whether instance is using TLS1.0 to TLS1.2 profile or the new TLS1.2 only profile.

Release

NA

Cause

Deprecation of TLS 1.1 and 1.0

Resolution

TLS change is done on VIP level so it’s not possible to make change on per instance basis.

Different ways to check TLS version your instance is using:

1) Curl command:

A) TLS1.0 --> curl -v -s --tlsv1.0 https://<instance-name>.service-now.com/stats.do -o /dev/null/ 2>&1

B) TLS1.1 --> curl -v -s --tlsv1.1 https://<instance-name>.service-now.com/stats.do -o /dev/null/ 2>&1

C) TLS1.2 --> curl -v -s https://<instance-name>.service-now.com/stats.do -o /dev/null/ 2>&1

2) Website "https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/index.html":

  • Entry your instance name (xyz.service-now.com) in the "Hostname" field and press submit button and check the Configuration tab as below
