The KB explains the On-premise instances which have unfortunately been given the same name at installation time. In General, there may be a confusing while stopping/ restarting of instances which has the same name to avoid the confusions, recommend renaming the instances with below procedures.

Recommend the following steps to resolve this issue.
1. Shutdown the duplicate instance nodes(s).
2. Create a new dev instance using Deployment Guide instructions (KB0563731).
3. Clone the duplicate instance over the dev instance (KB0563843)
4. Remove all of the duplicate instance files.
