Symptoms

In the Japanese environment, after submitting a survey, the "submitted successfully" message will be shown as "???".

This translation is hardcoded so can't change in "system localization".

The system language is in Japanese.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to
https://<<<Instance_name>>>.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=assessment_take2.do%3Fsysparm_assessable_type=87186844d7211100158ba6859e610378

2. Switch system language to Japanese
3. Submit the survey
4. The message shown in the blue box is not translated properly.
shown as "????" instead of showing the value of  {0} variable.

Resolution

It is fixed in Madrid. Please upgrade to fixed version.

A workaround for London is below:

  1. Go to any list view
  2. Right-click on the column title
  3. import xml  > import attached XML file

Additional Information

Please make sure to test this on sub-prod instance prior to the production.
