Picture does not synchronize between software model and software catalog

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a software model and add a picture to it.
  2. Publish model to catalog, the picture reflects in the catalog item
  3. Change the picture in the same software model.

Actual behavior: Picture does NOT reflect in the catalog item. The old picture remains in the catalog item.

Expected behavior: Image should get updated as other fields like cost, short description, the description gets synched.

For example, software model from OOTB instance :

Workaround

This issue has been closed as "working as expected" and determined this as part of product design.

The main reason this doesn't automatically update the image is that an asset manager could accidentally break the production catalog with an image update.

There is no built-in governance method for managing content or even the sizing of the images. Someone with an asset role could affect the production environment catalog simply by changing a model record.
