Root CauseIn the process of removing domains or modifying the hierarchy of domains, the reference from a child to a parent domain can become invalid. 
EffectWhen the parent reference is invalid, domain functionality, such as lookup by path and overrides, will not perform reliably and may result in either locking a user out of data or data leakage.
Corrective Action

Fix domain parents and re-validate the domain table:

  1. Determine which attached scripts you will need:
    • To validate the domain table: Validate.txt
    • To fix the domain table code and path: Fix.txt
  2. Ensure that you are in the global domain.
  3. Navigate to System Maintenance > Scripts - Background.
  4. Cut the script from the attachment file and paste it into Scripts - Background.
  5. Run the attached script.
  6. The script is complete when you see a message describing the successful/unsuccessful fix or validation of the domain table.
  7. Repeat for other scripts, if necessary.
