Invalid list column can break reference field in Service Portal with Null pointer Exception error in log

Steps to Reproduce


1) import attached sys_ui_list_element record, adding an invalid column to Default view of cmdb_ci list
2) edit Dictionary entry of task.cmdb_ci field, add simple reference qualifier: Class is Computer Peripheral
3) go to /sp?id=form&t=problem&sys_id=-1
4) click Configuration Item reference field as if to populate a value

Note NullPointerException error in localhost log, JS error in browser: TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined
