When using OR condition in condition builder of list, the search option in the list header is disabled



  • Open any list.
  • Open condition builder
  • Select a condition and add OR condition to it.
  • Run the query
  • Observe that search icon on the list header is disabled.

This has been the expected behavior of ServiceNow platform throughout. The reason for this logic is:
If the search icon was available and you did put in a new search term for one of the columns, which set of conditions split by the OR would this new term go under? There would be at least two sets of conditions so the system would not know which set you want the new term to go under.
