Issue

Symptoms


MID servers execute httpupload.vbs (ie: C:\temp\httpupload.vbs) when running discovery.

Cause


httpupload.vbs will be executed in case the MID server can not access administrative share (i.e. C$) on the discovered machine. C$ is the way service mapping reads file and command output from the target machine. if admin share is available, this will not be required.

Resolution


If customer don't want httpupload.vbs run while discovery run, ensure admin share provide to the discovered machine
