Issue

Symptoms

On clicking a UI action(example: Accept the solution) in service portal, the message pops up - 'There is a Javascript error in your browser console'.

Release

ALL

Environment

Service Portal

Cause

In some cases, on clicking a UI action, the fields of the form will be updated. The customers can customize the widget's client controller so that the fields will be updated on clicking a UI action. When a field that needs to be updated on clicking a UI action is not on the form view, the widget's client controller will not be able to update it. If the script cannot find the field on the form, there will be a Javascript error.

Resolution

The resolution for this issue is to add the fields that are going to be edited by the client controller of the widget on to the form view.
