Issue

Learn how to restore the KB Article Page widget in Service Portal to the base system version if it has been modified or replaced.

Resolution

In Service Portal:

  1. Go to the Widgets list.
    2. Select the KB Article Page widget at: 
    <Your instance>/nav_to.do?uri=sp_widget.do?sys_id=c6545050ff223100ba13ffffffffffe8
    3. Select Clone to create a copy of the widget.
    4. Go to Service Portal Page Designer at:
    <Your instance>/$spd.do#/sp/editor/kb_article/7ba0cb30d7000200a9ad1e173e24d4f9
    5. Delete the KB Article Page widget from the page.
    6. Return to the Widgets list. 
    7. Next to Name, right-select the context menu, select Import XML, and import the default KB Article Page widget.
    8. Return to Service Portal Page Designer at:
    <Your instance>/$spd.do#/sp/editor/kb_article/7ba0cb30d7000200a9ad1e173e24d4f9
    9. Use the drag-and-drop feature to move the default KB Article Page widget onto the page.
