Map is stuck on “Loading Service Map…” and doesn’t load at all

Steps to Reproduce

Open the Service Map, wait for it to open. It should get stuck on “Loading Service Map…”.

Workaround

1. Find the relevant transaction in the “Active Transactions” module and kill it.

2. Search the cmdb_rel_ci table for “Contains::Contained by” relations from CIs to themselves. If relation such exists – remove them. Service Map should now load as expected, but note that you’ll also need to locate the pattern that created these relations and fix it.
