Description

MSSql DB On Windows Pattern does not create the expected 'Runs::Runs' relationships between the clusterable SQL instances and their Windows cluster.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Run Discovery against a Windows Server which is a member of a Windows cluster.
  • If this Windows Server hosts a Microsoft SQL instance, the MSSql DB On Windows Pattern does not create the expected 'Runs::Runs' relationships between the clusterable SQL instances and the Windows Cluster CI in.

Workaround

Activate the Powershell-Windows - MSSQL probe and deactivate MSSql DB On Windows Pattern in the related list 'Triggers probes' of Microsoft SQL Server classifier

The other option is to apply the attached modified pattern pre-post script which should result in creating the relationships.
