Description


There is no out of the box mechanism for discovering wireless access points (WAP). However, if the Access Points have a controller which supports and can be configured with SNMP, they can be discovered.

Procedure


Here are things you would need to do: 

1. Create a custom classifier on the table cmdb_ci_wap_network:

2. Create an SNMP probe to query the OID desired

3. Add the created probe to the list of "Triggers Probes" of the device's classifier.

4. Create a sensor to process the output and update the CI
