How to install new Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns from the ServiceNow Store

Discovery and Service Mapping patterns help you automatically discover and map IT infrastructure in your ServiceNow environment. Follow these steps to install new patterns from the ServiceNow Store. 

  

 Installation steps

1. Go to store.servicenow.com
2. In the search field, type Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns.
3. From the search results, select Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns by ServiceNow.
4. In the upper right-hand corner, select Request Install.
   • Enter your instance name (format: instancename.service-now.com) 
   • Enter the business reason for the request
5. Review your request in the request history section. 
6. Access your ServiceNow instance.
7. In the Application Navigator, go to System Applications > Applications 
8. Install the pattern package
   • In the applications list, locate Discovery and Service Mapping patterns
   • Next to the package name, select Install.
9. Verify the installation
   • Go to Discovery > Discovery Patterns in the Application Navigator
   • Confirm the new patterns appear in the Discovery Pattern table.
