Description

Multi Pivot reports cannot be exported to PDF from the web UI if the report title contains "&" , for example "Access SUSI & ZORA : SNOW Tickets en cours".
This happens whether the title comes from the report name, or whether the title has been configured via the report settings.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Activate the plugin "WebKit HTML to PDF" if it is not already active, which enables PDF exporting for Multilevel Pivot reports.
  2. Create a new report of type "Multilevel Pivot" and give it for example this title: "Access SUSI & ZORA : SNOW Tickets en cours".
  3. Build a small report selecting some columns for the pivot report so it actually renders something on screen when running it.
  4. Run the report.
  5. Try to export it as PDF (from the "sharing" menu if you're using the new UI to display the report).
Observe the report will not get exported.
In Kingston, you will get an endless "loading" dialog, but the stack trace will appear on the instance system logs.
In Jakarta, the "loading" dialog does not appear, but you will as well see the stack trace on the instance system logs.

Workaround

Please review the Fixed In section to determine the latest available patch your instance can be upgraded to.

If an upgrade is not possible, Scheduled Reports should be used to be able to schedule/export.
