It is not possible to see info and error messages if called from a list UI Action. These are displayed before redirection and are cleared after direction.


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a business rule with the following information:
    • table: incident
    • advanced: true
    • when: after
    • delete: true
    • script:
      (function executeRule(current, previous /*null when async*/) {
      gs.addErrorMessage('delete error text');
      gs.addInfoMessage('delete info text');
      })(current, previous);
  2. Go to incident.list
  3. Click the checkbox of an incident and select 'Delete' from the list action menu at the bottom of the screen
  4. Click Delete in the Confirmation popup

Observed behavior in Istanbul:

  1. The browser is redirected to incident.list
  2. Info and Error outputs are displayed at the top of the list view

Observed behavior in Jakarta and Kingston:

  1. Info and Error outputs are displayed at the top of the list view
  2. The browser redirected to incident.list. The messages aren't visible because they are cleared automatically because of the redirection.

As a temporary workaround, import the attached UI Macro sys_ui_macro_6a2bb52773b21300417d795a4cf6a7a9.xml in the affected instance, clear the instance cache, and the browser cache.
