Description

List v3: List Editing the Date field gives an invalid date when the property glide.sys.date_format is changed from yyyy-MM-dd to MM-dd-yyyy

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Make sure the List v3 is active in the instance
  2. Navigate to System Definition > Dictionary
  3. Click New
  4. Fill the details as Table: Task, Type: Date and the give any Column Name (for example: Test Date)
  5. Navigate to sys_properties.list
  6. Search for glide.sys.date_format and open the record
  7. Change the value from yyyy-MM-dd to MM-dd-yyyy and save the record
  8. Navigate to the task.list
  9. Personalize the list to have Test Date on the list
  10. Edit this on the list to give a date.
Notice it shows an invalid date.

Workaround

After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience.

The List v3 plugin will not be patched in any current version. As a workaround use List v2 instead.
