Service Portal - Icon List Widget: The following types of link defined in Menu item are not honored:

  • Catalog Category
  • Catalog Item
  • KB Topic
  • KB Article
  • KB Category


Steps to Reproduce

  1. Add the Icon List Widget to the index (ID) page via the Page Designer or manually.

  2. Open the widget instance associated to that widget (present in the index page).

  3. In the Menu Items related list, click New and enter the following parameters:

    • Label: Test Link
    • Type: KB Article
    • (a new field shows up based on type) KB article: Select any available KB article
  4. Navigate back to <instance-name> to load the index page.

  5. Under Icon List Widget, click Test Link.

    Notice that nothing happens. A link is generated as '/sp?id=& ...' which means no ID page is defined where the portal can navigate to.

    This issues is also reproducible for the types mentioned in the description.



Specify a page value when defining the Menu Item.
