This article describes to make "Chat support" only visible to a specific role(s) in service portal.


The connect support widget is an out of the box widget. So the user might not have permissions to edit the widget directly. To edit the same widget, the user have to clone the following connect support widget.
Once you clone, you will see the option to set the roles who can access the widget in the "Roles" field. Once the changes have been made,  the user has to replace the OOB widget with the cloned widget in the Service Portal. By implementing these steps, you can make the Connect Support widget visible to specific role(s).
