When a user opens a form, there are times when the Additional Comments or Worknotes may not appear on the form and this may happen for specific records.



Affects all releases




Please see the following reasons for why this issue could occur:

  • The user may be failing a WRITE ACL check on that particular journal field
  • There may be a UI Policy that is hiding the journal field
  • The field may be dot-walked from a parent record, where specific ACLs or UI policies are being enforced



You will want to review the following:

  • Check any specific WRITE ACLs against that particular journal field
  • Review any UI Policies that could potentially hide the journal field
  • If the journal field is dot-walked from a parent table, you will need to perform the above checks again on that parent table
