Description

When a profile type and a policy statement is associated, the GRC Controls are generated and an information message appears at the top with a link to open the progress bar.

The progress bar hangs when the following scenarios are applied:

  1. When associating one policy containing profile types to policy statement

  2. When associating a policy statement to a profile type with no profiles on K release and later

Steps to Reproduce

Scenario 1

  1. Create a profile type with profiles. For releases beginning with Kingston, create a profile filter.

  2. Create a policy and a policy statement.

  3. Associate the profile type to the policy

  4. Associate the policy to the policy statement.

Scenario 2

  1. Create a profile type with no profiles. For releases beginning with Kingston, do not create a profile filter.

  2. Create a policy statement.

  3. Associate the profile type to the policy statement.

For more information, see the product documentation topic Risk Management..

Workaround

  1. Clear the following two tables:

    • sn_grc_item_generation
    • sn_grc_profile_type_processing_element
  2. Go to the policy and remove the profile types that do not have profiles.
