Description

When using the Click to Print button on a published report, the print screen shows only the first page and the scrollbar at the right so published reports cannot successfully be printed.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Reports > View / Run.

  2. Create a report with the following values:

    • Report Name: Test Report
    • Source Type: Table
    • Table: Incident [incident]
    • Add Condition: [Priority] [is] [5-Planning]
  3. Click Save.

  4. Share and publish the report.

  5. Obtain the Published Report URL.

  6. Navigate to the published report and click Click to Print at the top right of the report.

Note that in the Print window that displays, the Total Page count is 1 instead of the total page count.

Workaround

Choose one of the following workarounds:

  • Add "&sysparm_media=print" to the end of the Published Report URL. This should display the report in print-friendly mode, which you can use for both viewing and printing. The URL looks like the following example:

    https://<instance-name>.service-now.com/sys_report_display.do?sysparm_report_id=e66ca94adba78f404222778ebf9619d3&sysparm_media=print

  • Access a print-friendly version of the report.

    1. Navigate to Report > All and search for the report.

    2. Open the report and click the gear icon at the upper right.

    3. In the pop-up window that appears, select the option Printer friendly version towards the bottom of the screen.

This opens a printer-friendly version of the report in a new tab or window.

    4. Right-click and select Print.
