Symptoms

In Geneva/Helsinki/Istanbul/Jakarta, if journal fields were placed in a separate form section from the Activity formatter, they would automatically appear above the formatter regardless of form section location. In Kingston instances, journal fields remain in their original form sections and no longer appear above the Activity formatter.

Cause

This was an intentional change in behavior and design made by development in response to PRB1151939. The original behavior was actually broken and has now been fixed in PRB1151939.

Resolution

To display journal fields above the Activity formatter, add OOB or custom journal fields to the same tab / form section the formatter is present in.

1. Navigate to a form > Configure > Form Layout

2. Move all Journal fields to the tab which contains the Activity Formatter
