Description

Error "Unable to find table: homepage_grid" on the 'Overview' tab of the Knowledge Management Dashboard causes no Widget being displayed.

The issue occurs when upgrading to Jakarta first, and then activating the 'Performance Analytics - Content Pack - Knowledge Management' plugin com.snc.pa.knowledge or com.snc.pa.premium.all_content. If skipping Istanbul and upgrading from Helsinki to Jakarta, instances will be missing the component: sys_ui_macro_3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1.xml

Steps to Reproduce

1. Login an Helsinki instance.
2. Activate the Performance Analytics - Premium' plugin [com.snc.pa.premium].
3. Access the [sys_ui_macro] table and observe that no record exist with Sys ID = 3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1
4. Access the [sys_update] table and observe that no record exist where Name = sys_ui_macro_3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1.xml
5. Upgrade to Jakarta (for example Path 7).
6. Access the [sys_update] table and observe that 1 record exist where Name = sys_ui_macro_3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1.xml
7. Activate the 'Performance Analytics - Content Pack - Knowledge Management' plugin [com.snc.pa.knowledge].
8. Check the [sys_plugin_log] table and observe the following entry for the plugin:
Skipping because the 'apply once' change has been applied previously: sys_ui_macro_3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1.xml
9. Navigate to Performance Analytics > Dashboards
10. Search for the 'Knowledge Management' Dashboard.

Widgets are not displayed and the following error is issued on the 'Overview' tab: "Unable to find table: homepage_grid".

Workaround

  1. Delete the record in the [sys_update] table where Name = sys_ui_macro_3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1.xml
    /sys_update_list.do?sysparm_query=nameLIKE3dd408e60b1122001e684ac3b6673aa1

    2. Reactivate the 'Performance Analytics - Content Pack - Knowledge Management' plugin [com.snc.pa.knowledge].

    3. Navigate to the [sys_ui_macro] table and verify that you have 5 records when you filter on Sys ID is one of:

    4. Navigate to the Knowledge Management Dashboard and verify that the issue does not occur anymore.
