Issue

You can display a default value in a reference or choice list on a form when it loads in three different ways: through a Dictionary Entry, a template, or by adjusting the form design.

  • Dictionary Entry

    1. Right-click on the field and choose Configure Dictionary.

    2. Go to the Default Value tab.

    3. Enter the value of the choice. (States have integer values.)

    4. Click Update.

  • Templates

    1. Right-click in the form header and choose Templates.

You can either save the current values in the form as a new template or edit an existing template.

    2. Select the required field in the template and assign the default value.

    3. Save the template.

  • Form Design

    1. Right-click in the form header and choose Configure > Form Design.

    2. Click the gear icon to the right of the required field to display the field properties.

    3. Add or edit the value in the Default field.

    4. Click Save.
