Issue
You can display a default value in a reference or choice list on a form when it loads in three different ways: through a Dictionary Entry, a template, or by adjusting the form design.
-
Dictionary Entry
-
Right-click on the field and choose Configure Dictionary.
-
Go to the Default Value tab.
-
Enter the value of the choice. (States have integer values.)
-
Click Update.
-
-
Templates
-
Right-click in the form header and choose Templates.
You can either save the current values in the form as a new template or edit an existing template.
-
Select the required field in the template and assign the default value.
-
Save the template.
-
-
Form Design
-
Right-click in the form header and choose Configure > Form Design.
-
Click the gear icon to the right of the required field to display the field properties.
-
Add or edit the value in the Default field.
-
Click Save.
