One configuration item identified for multiple IP addresses

Issue

One configuration item identified for multiple IP addresses

Issue

Only a single CI is identified and created for multiple IP addresses.

Cause

This is expected behavior. The IP addresses are associated with the same device. When Discovery discovers a device with multiple IP addresses in the same range, discovery stops on the IP addresses that have been found already associated to the same class CI. During the identification phase, Discovery at some point evaluates that the two IP addresses are actually the same device and simply picks one to finish the discovery.

As the admin user, you can view the warning message "Identified, ignored extra IP" at https://instance_nameservice-now.com/discovery_device_history_list.do?sysparm_query=last_stateLIKEIdentified%2C%20ignored%20extra%20IP
