Description

If the language is switched to a non-English language, screenshots are missing in the System User Guide module.

Steps to Reproduce

This example uses Simplified Chinese as the non-English language.

  1. Install the Simplified Chinese language plugin.

  2. Open two browser sessions and log in to both of them as the same user account.

  3. Switch one session to the Simplified Chinese language.

  4. Open the following URL in both browser sessions

    https://<instance-name>.service-now.com/$h.do

  5. Go through the User Guide lists in both browser sessions.

    For more information, see the product documentation topic System user guide.

    Note that some screenshots are missing or are different in the Chinese version.

 

Workaround

The following Workaround example uses Simplified Chinese as the non-English language.

  1. Use two browser sessions to log in as the admin account, with one set to Chinese language and the other set to English.

  2. Open the following URL in both browser sessions:

    https://<instancename>.service-now.com/sys_product_help_list.do?sysparm_query= 

    You should see 23 records.

  3. Open each record side by side, comparing the Chinese and English versions.

  4. Modify the "text" (in Chinese: 文本) field, check the source code, and find all occurrences of "sys_attachment.do?sys_id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx".

  5. Replace the sys_ids in the Chinese version to match the English version.
