When a multi-line text field is displayed in a list on the Service Portal, the line breaks used for formatting the text are ignored. On the desktop, the line breaks are obeyed and the text is displayed over a number of lines in the list.
Steps to Reproduce
On the desktop, go to /sc_req_item_list.do.
Click the gear icon and add the Description field to the default list layout if it is not already displayed.
Go to an existing request item record and add the Description field to the default form layout if it is not already displayed.
Enter some multi-line text in the Description field and use line breaks to separate the text.
Click the Update button.
The list will be re-displayed.
Note that the text is displayed with the line breaks over a number of lines.

Note that for the specific record, the displayed description text is not formatted with the line breaks.
