Description

Setting the glide.ui.ref_ac.startswith system property to false does not work as 'contains' in filters when filtering by reference fields in List V3.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Make sure that List V3 is active.

For more information, see the product documentation topic Activate List v3.

  2. Go to /sys_properties_list.do and ensure that the system properties glide.ui.list_v3.enable and glide.ui.list_v3.related_list are set to true.

  3. Set the glide.ui.ref_ac.startswith system property to false.

  4. Go to /task_list.do and begin to create the filter [Assigned to] [is].

Note that if you enter the last name, the matching names with that last name do not show up and it works as if the setting was Starts With.

  5. Go to /sys_properties_list.do and set the system properties glide.ui.list_v3.enable and glide.ui.list_v3.related_list to false.

  6. Go to /task_list.do and create the filter with the same condition.

Note that if you enter the last name, the matching names with that last name show up, which is the expected behavior.

Workaround

List v3 does not provide support for the glide.ui.ref_ac.startswith system property.
