When custom workflow activity is published more than once and then transferred via update set, the activity does not show up in the workflow editor because the publish field of the last published activity is set to false.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create new update set
  2. Create a new activity, publish it, check out again, and publish
  3. Close update set, moved it to another instance, and commit

The activity does not show up in the workflow editor's custom tab.

Workaround 1:

  • Navigate to the update set, and before completing the update set:
    • Sort the entries by the Created field
    • Delete all previous versions of the activity
    • Complete the update

Workaround 2:

  • Navigate to the wf_element_activity list view, and search for the custom activity
    • Click on the record and select Show XML
    • Copy the sys_id value from the version_container_id XML tag
  • Navigate to the wf_versionable list view
    • Filter the list by the version_container field with the id copied from previous step
    • Sort the list by the created date
    • Select the newest record and download the XML
    • Set the publish field to true
    • Save the xml file
    • Upload the XML file
