Automated Test Framework (ATF) enbles users to define a test step ("Click a UI Action") that performs a UI action on a record. Current limitations prevent UI actions in the Context menu from being clicked and executed.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Navigate to Automated Test Framework > Tests.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter a Name.
  4. Right-click in the header bar and select Save.  
  5. In the Test Steps tab or section, click Add Test Step.
  6. In All Test Step Configurations, select Open a New Form.
  7. Click Next.
  8. In Table, select Catalog Task [sc_task].
  9. Click Submit.
  10. Click Add Test Step.
  11. In All Test Step Configurations, select Click a UI Action.
  12. Click Next.
  13. In UI action, click the Lookup using list icon   and select Save.
  14. Click Submit.
  15. Check the logs.
    Note that the following error message is displayed in the logs:

    FAILURE: Failed to click UI Action 'Create Problem' on 'incident' form.


Clicking on server-side actions is now supported. For client-side actions, a possible workaround is to create a form link or form button for the action. Form links and form buttons are clickable in Automated Test Framework.
