When using the Mobile App and opening the Service Catalog, the Categories created in desktop view do not appear in Express.

Steps to Reproduce


  1. Log in to a demo Express instance using the standard desktop view.

  2. Create custom Categories and Items within the Service Catalog, and make them available in mobile as well.

    For more information, see the product documentation topic Service Catalog categories.

  3. Verify that these are viewable in the desktop view.

  4. Switch to or log in to the mobile app.

  5. Open the default Service Catalog.

    Notice only the base system demo/default Categories are displayed, typically the Technical Services and Service Offerings, or nothing is displayed if demo data have been removed.



Add Service Catalog as a favorite link so it will show up on the Mobile App homepage. 

Note that the Mobile Layout feature to add custom Catalog Categories is not currently available in Express.

If the demo Catalog Categories have been removed, open an incident with ServiceNow Customer Support.
