Description

Lookup choice fields cannot be searched within a list.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Navigate to Incident > All and click New.

  2. Right-click in the form header and choose Configure > Form layout.

  3. Under Create new field, provide a name and set Type to Choice. Click Add.

  4. Move the field higher in the Selected list and then click Save.

  5. Return to the form, right-click the label of the newly created choice field, and choose Configure Dictionary.

  6. Under Related Links, click Advanced view.

  7. In the Choice list specification tab, set the following values:

    • Choice: Dropdown without -- None -- (must specific a default value)
    • Choice table: Location (cmn_location)
    • Choice field: Country
  8. Click Update.

  9. Navigate to Incident > All.

  10. Click the gear icon and use the slushbucket to add the field to the list columns, then click OK.

  11. Add some dummy data into the field for multiple entries.

  12. Select the search icon (magnifying glass) and use the Search input box to filter the list. Press Return.

Note that no results are shown because the system performs an "in (empty)" query, and no filter value is selected.

Workaround

Make the selection via a filter rather than through the search input box.
