In Helsinki, the condition to hide the New button does not work in List v3 and is visible no matter the view.

Steps to Reproduce


  • Install List v3 (Plugins > List v3 > Activate/Upgrade)
  • Check all checkboxes in the List V3 module.
  • Clear the cache, and then log out/log in.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Navigate to a Problem list.
    2. Right-click any column header and select Configure > List Control.
    3. Check the Omit new button box to add it to the form if it is not already visible.
    4. Apply the following script code into the box:

    var current_view = RP.getParameterValue('sysparm_view');
    // gs.log ("view is " + current_view);
    var answer;
    if (current_view == "sys_ref_list") {
    answer = true;
    } else {
    answer = false;

    5. Save and load [incident.LIST] in a new tab.
    6. Open any incident and scroll down to the Related Records tab.
    7. Click the magnifying glass icon and notice the New button is still visible.

    If you test this in Geneva using the same steps, the New button will be hidden.


After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue and the risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or future releases. We do not make this decision lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience. 

If the issue is blocking, as a workaround, the List v3 can be disabled on the affected table (or globally).
