Description

Strange behavior exists when multiple checkboxes are on a single order guide, and rule base conditions to add the same item are set up to act based on the checkbox values.

For example, say you have

Checkbox A = include Item A
Checkbox B = include Item A

Selecting checkbox A will add two of Item A even though checkbox B remains unchecked.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Log on to the instance as an admin user.

  2. Make sure that the Service Portal for Enterprise Service Management plugin is installed.

For more information, see the documentation topic Activate a plugin.

  3. Navigate to Service Catalog > Catalog Definitions > Order Guides.

  4. Open the Request Developer Project Equipment record.

  5. In the Variables related list, click New.

  6. Fill out the form with the following values, right-click the form header, and choose Save.

    Type: CheckBox
    Question: test1
    Name: test1

  7. Change the form with the following values, right-click the form header, and choose Insert and Stay.

    Question: test2
    Name: test2

  8. Return to the Request Developer Project Equipment order guide.

  9. In the Rule Base related list, click New.

  10. Complete the form with the following values, right-click the form header, and choose Save.

If this condition is true: [test1] [is] [true]
    Include this item: Standard Laptop

  11. Change the form with the following values, right-click the form header, and choose Insert and Stay.

If this condition is true: [test2] [is] [true]
    Include this item: Standard Laptop

  12. Open the Service Portal, and open the Request Developer Project Equipment order guide from the catalog.

  13. Select one of the new checkboxes added to the form (test1 or test2).

Note that the Standard Laptop item is included twice in the order guide.

Workaround
