Some Visual Task Board warning messages are not translated. Also, because gs.getMessage does not handle the translation, the text of these messages do not appear on scripts accessible to the instance and administrators are therefore unable to translate them.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Make sure the I18N Internationalization languages plugins are activated on the instance.

For more information, see the documentation topic Activate a plugin.

  2. Set the session language to a language other than English.

  3. Create a condition that will cause a Visual Task Board error message, for example, adding cards until the maximum card number is exceeded.

Note that the warning message remains in English regardless of the chosen language.

  4. Go to sys_ui_message_list.do and verify in the table that the text of these alerts do not exist in any script on the instance.

  5. Create additional sys_ui_message records to translate the text of the alerts.

  6. Note on checking again in the instance that the messages still remain in English.

This problem is fixed in Istanbul. After upgrading, you might need to re-activate and update the I18N language plugin on the instance, and flush the cache be going to cache.do. You will also need to delete and then re-create the affected visual task boards because the correct translations will not display in an existing visual task board.
