Description

When a user with all of the Project and Portfolio related roles (including it_program_manager and it_portfolio_manager) clicks on the Portfolio Workbench or Program Workbench modules, an Access Denied error is displayed.

If a user opens a specific Portfolio or Program record and uses the Workbench related link from the form, the Workbench loads without the Access Denied error.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Impersonate a user with the it_program_manager and it_portfolio_manager roles.

  2. Navigate to the Program Workbench or Portfolio Workbench modules.

  3. Click these modules one by one.

Note that under certain scenarios, the system returns an Access Denied error instead of displaying the workbench.

If users access the Workbench from the Portfolio and Program form records related link, this works and the Workbench loads without the Access Denied error.

Workaround

Do not use the Portfolio Workbench or Program Workbench modules; instead, use the Workbench related link from the form.
