Two classes of users are affected:

  • Those using Safari 10.0
  • Those using Safari 10.0.1

Originally reported under PRB692216, the issue was resolved in:

  • Fuji Patch 13 Hot Fix 2
  • Geneva Patch 8
  • Helsinki Patch 4
  • Istanbul

The problem was resolved too narrowly, however, and users upgrading to Safari 10.0.1 experienced the issue in those fixed versions.

PRB713397 was opened to address a permanent fix for all Safari versions, and is resolved in:

  • Fuji Patch 13 Hot Fix 2
  • Geneva Patch 10
  • Helsinki Patch 6
  • Istanbul

The recommended resolution to this issue is to upgrade to a version in which PRB713397 has been resolved as part of a standard patch release, with the exception of Fuji Patch 13 Hot Fix 2, which is the only version of Fuji which contains the fix.

For cases where a full patch upgrade is not possible, PRB713397 is resolved in the following hot fixes:

  • Geneva Patch 7 Hot Fix 8
  • Geneva Patch 8 Hot Fix 2
  • Helsinki Patch 2 Hot Fix 5
  • Helsinki Patch 3 Hot Fix 6
  • Helsinki Patch 4 Hot Fix 2
