Description

When activating any plugin that adds a new option in the System Settings window, the "Printer friendly version" option is displayed outside the white area, making it difficult to see.

Steps to Reproduce

 

  1. Log in to a base system Helsinki instance with a maint role.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the banner frame to open the System Settings window.
    In the General tab, note that the Printer friendly version option is displayed properly within the window:



  3. Navigate to System Definition > Plugins.
  4. Find any internationalization plugin (for example, I18N Finnish Translations).
  5. Right-click the plugin name and select Activate/Upgrade.
  6. Navigate to System Definition > Plugins.
  7. Find the Domain Support - Domain Extensions Installer plugin, right-click on the name, and select Activate/Upgrade.
  8. Click on the gear icon in the banner frame to open the System Settings window.
    In the General tab, note that the Printer friendly version option is now displayed outside of the white area, making it difficult to see:

 

 

Workaround

This issue was fixed in Jakarta as part of PRB709998 - When settings content outgrows the container, themes can overflow the UI.

In pre-Jakarta instances, you may still click the Printer friendly version link outside the System Settings window and the feature will function properly.
