Description

Unable to create sysapproval_approver records using the mobile platform.

Steps to Reproduce

 

  1. In a Helsinki Patch 2 instance, use the default web browser and navigate to Service Desk > Incidents.

  2. Open any incident, right-click in the header, and choose Configure > Related Lists.

  3. Use the slush bucket, add Approvers, and click Save.

  4. Add an Approver to the Related Links.

    1. In the Related Links section, access the Approvers tab/section.
    2. Click New.
    3. Add approver information and click Submit.
  5. Switch to Mobile View.

  6. Navigate to Service Desk > Incidents and open any incident.

  7. Open Related Lists, and select Approvers.

  8. Click the plus sign to add.

  9. Create an Approver and click Save.

  10. Navigate to the Approvers related list.

    Notice that the new approver was not created.

 

Workaround

After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience. You can submit an Enhancement Request from the Self-Service portal on HI, and Subscribe to this article to be notified in case of future updates.
