Description

Catalog items containing 'Macro With Label' and 'UI Page' type variables do not display the variables in the mobile user interface.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. On a non-production instance, import the four attached XML files.
These files add a catalog item (named Network Access) containing a Macro with Label and UI Page variable, along with the needed UI macro and UI page needed to display the variables.
  2. Navigate to Service Catalog > Catalog.
  3. Click Software.
  4. Open the Network Access catalog item.
Note that the variables are displayed properly.
  5. Navigate to <yourinstancename>/$m.do to open the mobile user interface.
  6. Click Catalog.
  7. Click Software.
  8. Click Network Access.
Note that the variables are not displayed in the mobile user interface.

Workaround

After carefully considering the severity and frequency of the issue, and the cost and risk of attempting a fix, it has been decided to not address this issue in any current or near future releases. We do not make these decisions lightly, and we apologize for any inconvenience. You can submit an Enhancement Request from the Self-Service portal on HI, and Subscribe to this article to be notified in case of future updates.
