How to make knowledge base and articles available to unauthenticated users on the Service Portal in Helsinki



Overview


This article describes the procedure on Helsinki to make a knowledge base and articles available to unauthenticated users in the Service Portal.

Procedure


  1. Navigate to Service Portal > Portals.

  2. Select the Service Portal.

  3. Note the Service Portal's knowledge base name.

  4. Navigate to the knowledge base linked to the Service Portal.

  5. From the menu, select Configure > Related List.

  6. Add Cannot Contribute, Cannot Read to the form.

  7. Remove any User criteria from the related lists Can Read, Can Contribute, Cannot Contribute, Cannot Read.

  8. Go to the article that needs to be public, add the field Roles to the form, and verify that the Role is empty or public.

  9. Go to the Read Knowledge-None ACL (/sys_security_acl.do?sys_id=65bbd9bcd71221004792a1737e610389) and verify that it has the public role.
